Here are some images that Nate used this week to describe the megas charis (or much grace) that marked the early Jesus movement:

• A current of Grace flows under the whole movement
• Grace electrifies the air
• It’s pervasive
• Saturated by Grace
• Soaking in Grace
• Grace becomes part of who you are
• Grace gets in you
• It’s like the garlic in Gliroy – your clothes reek of Grace
• It’s like the salt in homemade pizza – you can’t see it but if it was missing, you’d know that something was jut not right
• Without Grace, things are rotten, distinctly wrong, and blah
• The Aroma of Grace
• An Oozing of Grace
• It’s spicy
• The church was coloring with a Grace crayon
• It’s like swimming in and drinking from Lake Superior
• It’s the air around us
• The atmosphere
• It defines us
• We bathe in Grace
• We’re washed by Grace

I love this.  May it be said of our family, our church, our community… “There was much Grace upon them all.”
