The big adventure in July was a trip to Huntington Beach for a week. It happened to be the week of the U.S. Open surf contest so there was a lot going on. We stayed in a cute little house about 3 blocks from the ocean and we ate a lot of delicious food, watch some amazing surfing, played on the beach for hours, went on a few good bike rides up the coast, and even rented a five person "paddle carriage" for an afternoon.

On our way back home we went to San Francisco for the Marathon. Nick had a blast running over the golden gate bridge, through the park, down Lombard street (not the steepest part) and through Haight-Ashbury.

Other big news from July was that the Pistole family moved into the back part of the new house so our "family" grew from the 3 to 6 overnight. Carson and Glory loved the kiddy pool on the back patio, the big pool over at Nonnie and Pop's, and especially the giant water playground across town.
